The Portable Eagle FISHEASY 245DS
->
If you are looking forward to your weekend fishing trip, going home with an empty bucket is not as fun as getting more fish than you ever imagined. It would really be a more enjoyable weekend if you enjoyed counting the fishes that you caught, because after all, you are out for a fishing trip not a camping trip. Fishfinders have become very cheap these days and you can get a good performing portable gadget to help you fish like an experience fisherman just about any fishing shop. The Eagle FISHEASY 245DS Portable is especially designed for smaller boats and beginners.

The Portable Eagle FISHEASY 245DS
The Eagle FISHEASY 245DS Portable Fishfinder is small enough to fit inside your bag. It has a 4” diagonal screen enough to see detailed images underwater. The SuperTwist LCD is another plus factor that allows you to view in different viewing angles. Usability is very easy with the ASP or the Advanced Signal Processing, which does the adjustment automatically to get an exceptional sonar image. Other features like the GRAYLINE, Advanced Fish I.D., and FishTrack are also very useful in spotting different types of fishes.

Was very disappointed
This product is a hassle to use and gives VERY inaccurate readings when the bottom is grassy. The default sensitivity was too high for where I fish so I turned it down per the instructions. A few minutes later, it would go back to the factory default setting though I had not touched it. It also showed very deep readings when I went over a grassy bottom. This is a software issue. The settings are not as easy to set as one might think due to the touchiness of the system. Again, another software issue.
My concluding impressions are that the build is moderately solid but the software issues with the product make it difficult to use and enjoy.
Overall, this simple, affordable, and portable fishfinder is a very handy gadget to help you locate the fishes and bring home a proud bucket load.
